The Elusive Krishna Heritage Hotel

While in Badami we stay at a brand new hotel called the Krishna Heritage Hotel. The plastic was still on the TV and chairs. The ride to Badami was long and hard and all we wanted to do was get to the hotel. We went back and forth through the town asking the police twice if they knew where this place was. They clearly did not have a clue where it was but they really did look sure of themselves. We headed back out of town from the way we came in and there it was.
It was a nice upscale hotel, very clean and the food was good. Because it was so new they still had a few things to work out. There ice machine had not been delivered so they promised they would get us clean safe ice in a can. Yes, I said 'can of ice'. Sure enough I guess to prove it came from a can they delivered it in the chunk right out of the can. We requested it be chopped up so we could fit it in our drinks. Who ever heard of such a thing. We laughed.

A room with a view

It will be interesting to see this hotel many years from now. The care they have taken to add nice landscaping will hopefully pay off when the trees, shrubs and flowers grow to their full maturity. Just beyond the fences are working farms with hard working Indian's tending their fields.

Krishna Heritage Hotel.

It is kind of a funny name considering it just opened. It also did not seem the typical Indian heritage spot. If you are going to Badami this is the place to stay.

Open Air Dining

The dining hall was clean and fresh. The walls were not walls at all, they were blinds drawn down to block the sun. The food was very nice. We had some amazing Indian breakfasts.
